The CB Moose celebrated their 40th anniversary this weekend (19 &20 June) in conjunction with the Northern VA council of higher degrees.....it kicked off with a great dinner and entertainment by the Koolerators in the social quarters Friday night.... Saturday kicked off with a bbq at the pavilion by the lodge. The VA. country gents plus one lovely wife... entertained for hours ( in between the thunderstorms)... life went on and many tried out the new horseshoe pits.. even VA DGR Grace Flester. Administrator Richard Pietras and son Richie were busy raffling off a flat screen TV as the celebration continued. Del"Wingman" Clarambeau of the 2nd Thief Riders from Piedmont Va called to all the bikers to come forward for a blessing. 2nd Thief riders call themselves an example of Grace in action and ride spreading the word ...also managing to have a great time. Bike blessing is given and judges look at bikes as a judging for best biker babe proceeds. Sharon Henry keeps manning the food. Sam Hanlon stands by her red trike that got awards for Best trike and Best paint in the bike show. Other winners were : Sport bikes 1st jesse tyree, 2nd Wanda Matemphy.... Cruisers.. 1st Murdock Conley 2nd Eric Hopkins,Best in show.. Eric Hopkins and peoples choice Eric hopkins as well.. the rain prevented the horsehoe tournamemt proceeding and many picnicers took refuge in the lodge. But, that was ok as DJ WiiLL Sommer a lodge member entertained till the wee hours...!!! What a great weekend.
